OUR STORY
ORIGIN
Established in 1995, Creative Bee had its humble beginning as a design studio. Our founders Bina and Keshav Rao, who are both Designers and Artists by profession, decided to create a one-stop solution for fashion and lifestyle brands that did not possess in-house design capabilities.
Today, nearly 3 decades later, Creative Bee has designed for some of the top fashion and lifestyle labels in the country and multi-store retail giants around the world. With a repertoire of thousands of prints, hundreds of weaves and a myriad of techniques, Creative Bee makes it incredibly easy for fashion designers, fashion houses, and lifestyle brands to put together a forth-coming collection in a matter of weeks. Creative Bee closely follows emerging global and ethnic fashion trends to always stay on point, creating designs and colour-ways that are not just 'in', but innovatively so.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
At Creative Bee, it has always been our endeavour to produce world-class handmade textiles keeping sustainability and livelihood creation at the heart of it all. We have always ensured that all our rural partners are treated fairly and that they and their families have consistent work.
We also care very deeply about the planet and our future generations and this reflects in our eco-friendly production processes and the rural training programs that we conduct. We understand that the biggest threat to the handmade and heritage craft sector is the active discouragement of the next generation from joining the family trade, by parents who do not want to see their children struggle the way they are. We believe that by working with these producer families and helping them earn the full price of their hard work is a step in the right direction.
